Altar Servers

Altar servers are an important part of our celebration of the sacred liturgy. Their service at the altar lends dignity and reverence to the Mass, and allows the priest and people to concentrate on the sacred actions. The servers also have a privileged experience of the Church’s liturgy.

Bereavement Visiting Group

Available to any parishioner who has been bereaved, giving prayerful support at what can so often be a very challenging time. Members of the group will visit you in confidence, in the privacy of your own home.

Children’s Week

Children’s Week is an annual event held for one week in the summer at Our Lady of Walsingham for the children of the parish.

Cleaning

The sweeping, dusting, window cleaning, hoovering, brass rubbing and various other cleaning jobs are done by a team of enthusiastic volunteers.

Coffee Club After Sunday 9am

We provide light refreshments in the parish centre after the 9.15am Mass on Sundays. We do this because we think building a sense of community in the parish is important. No one sits alone.

Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick and Housebound

A dedicated team of Eucharistic ministers takes Holy Communion to the sick and housebound of our parish, sharing in Christ’s ministry to the sick by bringing the Body of Christ to those who are unable to attend Mass.

Fairtrade

Our parish is a Fairtrade parish. The FAIRTRADE Mark is the only way to guarantee that farmers in the developing world receive a fair price for their products.
