The time at school can, for some, be a difficult and trying time especially on the level of faith. Blessed John Paul II once said: “Christ freed Peter from the fear which had seized him on the stormy night. Christ enables us too to overcome the difficult moments in life, if with faith and hope we turn to him and ask his help.”

Faith and hope are the opposites of fear. Fear will paralyse us and keep us from doing what we could do if we were not fearful. In the difficult moments in life, especially on a difficult day at school, it is easy to give in to our fear, but it is in these moments that we are called to put our trust in the Lord and surrender all our problems to him.
